WWE Problems
If you are a frequent reader of my blog, you may recall a post where I ranted about ten things I thought should be fixed about the WWE. Some of these have improved and some have not. Be that as it may I have a new list with only seven things this time. Maybe that means that it is getting better, but these are pretty big complaints. So, in no particular order (except for #1):
7. General Managers: Why do the shows have to have these self-serving morons on them? If it's not Vickie's love life it's Regals ...... I'll get to him later. I long for the day of the old WWF with a Jack Tunney like figure which only speaks when a moment of great importance has arisen.
6. Run that by me again: Is it just me or does the WWE just repackage and give us the same matches over and over? Cena vs Orton vs Triple H - Cena vs Orton vs Triple H vs JBL - Triple H vs Orton - Again inside of a cage - Cena vs JBL. It's no better on the Smackdown side with the Undertaker and Edge feud (I will touch on this later too). On ECW it's Kane and Chavo. I understand building up a feud for entertainment purposes. But once it is over it needs to be over.
5. Presidential Wrestling: I'm not referring to the candidates speaking to the WWE audience, except for all the cliche' comments. I'm referring to the Obama vs Clinton wrestling match. This was not entertainment, this was just stupid. The look-alikes weren't even close to resembling the real things. This has happened a few times (Rosey/Trump) and it's dumb every time. I was never happier to see Umaga in my entire life.
4. R.I.P.: Why do they always find a way to screw The Undertaker out of a championship? When he does win it we keeps it for about 2 months(tops), and then they take it away from him. He is one of the best wrestlers alive today and a future Hall of Famer and yet they treat him terribly. I maybe a little bias since The Undertaker is my favorite wrestler but it's my blog and I can write what I want.
3. ECW: As I write this one I wonder if anyone is getting tired of this same old rant. When you take the "Extreme" out of ECW you lose it's purpose. Also if you'll notice, ECW doesn't seem to equal the same as the other 2 brands. I think they try to downplay ECW alot of the time. That's a shame because alot of the best talent in the WWE is there.
2. Mike Adamle: This is related to the last post a little. Between Adamle's sappy comments and his lackluster wrestling knowledge .... well ..... he just sucks. I don't know if anyone noticed that on the last ECW broadcast that there was a different wrestler or wrestlers sitting at the announcers booth to provide a little more excitement to the show. Adamle bragged about his years of experience in broadcasting football, well he was so good at that then we should stick to it.
1. William Regal: Here is the single biggest problem in the WWE. When Regal come out and stops matches right in the middle or turns out the lights, this only annoys me. I thought the purpose of wrestling was to entertain, not to annoy. Also, he needs to make up his mind whether he wants to wrestle or be GM. I think I would rather watch a 2-hour show of Batista matches than watch Raw anymore.
I will however continue to watch because like all wrestling fans I continue to hope for a change back to a good program. I will say this, TNA is looking better all the time. I'm The Eyeball, and That's What I See.
