The Dragon

I didn't get to see Wrestlemania 25. I'm just too "frugal" to pay that much money to watch it. Let me get the obvious out of the way first. I only predicted one match right. It was the Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels match. I have read on the web that this was considered the match of the night. Next to it, was the Legends vs Chris Jericho match. I would have liked to have seen it. Every time I see the legends wrestle, it takes me back to when I was a kid sitting about six inches away from my television watching wrestling. It was no different on Raw last night. Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat was part of a ten man tag Wrestlemania all-star match. From the beginning of the match, the fans were chanting "We want Steamboat." The crowd erupted when he was tagged in. The best part was, he didn't have much "ring rust." He drop kicked, arm dragged, chopped, and flying cross bodied just like he did back in the day. So, there I was sitting six inches away from my television all over again. Steamboat was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on Saturday Night. I can't think of a more deserving inductee. I will leave you with another chant the fans yelled as Steamboat stood in the ring after dispatching Jericho, Edge, and Matt Hardy: "You've still got it." And, yes he still does.
