Recognition
Last night the MTV Movie Awards were on. The entire show was dominated by Twilight. Now, I'm not a Twilight fanatic but the movie was OK so I didn't mind that too much. However, I did witness one large miscarriage of justice and I'm not talking about the bare butt in Eminem's face. I speaking of the award forBest Villain. This award is a staple of the MTV Movie Awards. It is one of the reasons that this particular award show was actually good. It recognizes an actors hard work in portraying a truly despicable character. Think about it, without villains why would we need heroes? All the other awards on this show would be presented and the nominees announced followed by the winner. Here is my problem, they didn't do that. They just mentioned in passing that Heath Ledger won the best villain award in passing as they went to commercial. Why couldn't they have done it normally. I can't understand why they couldn't take the time to recognize a man who literally gave his life for the role he won the award for. And, I don't want to hear it was a time issue. They own the network, they could have (and should have) made the time. It was one of the most classless gestures I have ever seen. I'm The Eyeball and That's What I See.
