The Good, The Bad, and The Apology

Sorry I haven't posted for a while, I have had alot on my plate. No, that wasn't the apology. This post will be yet another wrestling post. Well here it is.

The Good shall be my picks for:

THE TOP TEN ALL TIME BEST WRESTLERS

I based these picks upon skill, charisma, or both. I will not include pictures with this one because if you are a wrestling fan you will know who most of these guys are, if you aren't you won't care anyway.

10. Hulk Hogan: Gorilla Monsoon once said Hogan didn't know a wrist lock from a wrist watch. That maybe true but he was the man who got the nation excited about wrestling in the eighties because of his tremendous charisma. For that alone, he deserves to be on this list.

9. Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka: He was the original high flyer. The first man to ever jump off the top of a steel cage. If not for him we might not have had the exciting high flying wrestling he have today.

8. Terry Funk: "The Funker" was the original king of hardcore, but beyond that he could wrestle. I can remember marathon matches between he and Flair that were some of the best of all time.

7. Lou Thez: This man can be accredited with most of the wrestling moves we see today. He invented most of them.

6. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper: He was the original "Bad Boy." They talk about Steve Austin being the inventor of the "attitude era", but this was the first attitude wrestler.

5. Kurt Angle: This is the first of three still active wrestlers on this list. In his short career(short comapered to the others on this list),he has accomplished alot. He is one of the greatest technical wrestlers I have ever seen, with intensity that can be matched by none. As time goes on I see him going even farther up on this list.

4. The Undertaker: Although he relies on his size and power most of the time, I have seen him technically wrestle the likes of Ric Flair, Bret Hart, and Kurt Angle to get the better of them. In addition, he is a pretty good high flyer. We all saw his ariel display at Wrestlemania 23. After almost 2 decades "The Deadman" continues to excite us.

3. Andre The Giant: This man was undefeated for almost 20 years. This big man could wrestle quite well. Other big men may come along, (Big Show, The Great Khali) but there will neve ever be another Andre.

2. Bret "The Hitman" Hart: "The Excelence of Execution says it all. He was the man to beat in the late eighties and early ninties. If his career hadn't been cut short by a head head injury followed by a stroke he might have surpassed the man at number 1.

1. "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair: This man could do it all. He talked the talk, and walked the walk. The former 16 time World Champ was the best, nuff said.

The Bad shall be my picks for:

THE TOP TEN ALL TIME WORST WRESTLERS

I based these picks on lame gimmicks, poor skill, a general bad attitude toward the sport or all three.

10. Batista: This is the only man that is still active on this list. He could improve if he would learn a few more moves. Right now, he can punch, bodyslam, clothesline, spinebuster, and powerbomb. If you don't believe me watch a match and count the moves, you will see that I'm right. He also has a poor attitude toward his fellow wrestlers. He and Booker T (I refuse to call him King Booker) had a fight in the locker room over respect of the other men there. If he doesn't straighten up he will find himself climbing on this list.

9. MVP: I'm not talking about Montel Vontavious Porter, I'm talking about a man that painted his face like a baseball. It was a terrible gimmick and he was a poor wrestler.

8. IRS: It was a shame when Mike Rotundo, an excellent wrestler, was turned into IRS. His wrestling skill didn't decrease but it was a terrible gimmick.

7. Barry Horowitz: This guy was the all time biggest loser in wrestling. That's something to pat yourself on the back about.

6.Repo Man: His entire gimmick was stealing from other wrestlers. i liked him alot better when he was Smash from Demolition.

5. Goldust: Dustin Runnels (Rhodes) made a big mistake when he agreed to be Goldust, a bizarre acting freak. He had alot of wrestling skill but that outfit had to make his Daddy hang his head in shame.

4. Disco Inferno: He was a fairly skilled wrestler but that gimmick. Need I say more.

3.Renegade: It's bad enough to have a bad gimmick, but to copy another poor wrestlers gimmick, that's worse.

2. Duke "The Dumpster" Drose: HA HA HA! Like I need to explain this one.

1. The Ultimate Warrior: The Warriors gimmick was ok. His wrestling skill and attitude, although, leaft alot to be desired. The dvd "Self Destuction of The Ultimate Warrior will explain it all.

And now, the apology. I was watching TNA to prepare to write a blog on why I didn't like it. While watching it I realized it was pretty good. I still don't like that ring but everything else seemed pretty good. So I offer an apology too all the TNA fans that read my blog, for being so short sighted. I'm The .......wait a minute,

On a personal note, I was going to include Chris Benoit on my all time greatest list. But, due to recent events I chose not to honor him. I am following suit with the WWE. As soon as the news broke on his terrible crime, they removed all tributes to him from their website. The crimes he commited, I cannot even fathom. I'm The Eyeball, and that's what I see.
