Justice League of America

The new JLA movie is slated for a 2010 release and there is already alot of hype about it. One just instance is casting. It has been announced that the director would be casting unknowns for the lead roles. This is o.k. in some instances but I believe the film will be better recieved if some of the parts were played by actors which have already played in the roles before. I enjoy casting movies (see my A-Team post) so I thought I would give this one a try. So let's get the obvious out of the way first:

Superman-Dean Cain

Per the voting here on my blog, Dean Cain edges out Brandon Routh to win this role. I don't think anyone could play this role better, although I could be wrong.

Batman-Christian Bale

There is noone who can play this role as good. I know I'm am not wrong about this.

Martian Manhunter-Lawrence Fishburne

Fishburne has the acting ability, voice, and the look (aside from a little green coloring) to play this role.

Aquaman-James Marsden

People often overlook this character but that is a shame. Aquaman is one of DC's most underestimated heroes. Marsden, known for playing Cyclops in the X-Men Trilogy, could pull off this role easily. He just needs to bleach his hair blonde.

Green Lantern-Michael Jai White

It was announced that Green Lantern was going to be in the movie but they failed to mention which one. I picked Jon Stewart because he was the easiest one to cast. Just look, if you can pick a better Jon Stewart just leave a comment, but I don't think that would be possible.

Flash-Adam Brody

It was rumored that Brody was cast to play the Flash in the actual JLA movie. This is one bit of casting I agree with. With Wally West (Flash) being the youngest member of the team I think this guy could be pretty good (with a little red hair coloring).

Wonder Woman-???????

I haven't been able to narrow down who I think should play Wonder Woman yet. I do have 2 choices though. I would like to hear who you think would be a good choice so leave a comment if you wish. My 2 choices are:

Megan Gale

This is who (rumor says) was picked to play the part in the movie. She certainly looks close enough to the part. I am reluctant to just pick her because I have never seen her act. I know she is a supermodel, but that doesn't necessarily translate to acting.

Jessica Beil

She has shown her action ability in Blade Trinity. I believe she could play the role well, I'm just not certain that she has "the look".

I would like to personally thank those who voted and left comments. I especially like the ones about Christopher Reeve. Also the Boy-Man debate. I must say I agree that Routh looks too young. The entire reason for this vote is to post my next blog in which I will pick my own cast for the upcoming Justice League Movie. I have heard that the director is casting unknowns for these roles. I don't agree with that. I think that if someone has already played in a role they should be considered for it again. It may take me a while to get mt ducks in a row for my next post so please be patient. I will leave youith a comment on the Cain/Routh vote, Dean Cain, Superman, nuff said.
