Wrestlemania 25 Predictions!

It's the 25th Anniversary of Wrestlemania and that means it's time for my annual predictions. I didn't do to well last year. I only guessed right on three matches. I will see if I can do better this year. Well here goes.....

Lumberjack match to unify the WWE Tag Team Championship and the World Tag Team Championship
The Colons (Carlito & Primo) vs Miz & Morrison

In my opinion, I think that Miz & Morrison are the better tag team. It's the lumberjacks that may make a difference in this match, but not a big difference.

Winners: Miz & Morrison (Unified Tag Team Champs)

25 Diva Battle Royal for the Title of "Miss Wrestlemania"

This is a hard one to predict since there isn't a complete list of participants. They said it will involve past and present divas. So, with that in mind I will make my prediction and pick a diva that may not even be in the match.

Winner: Trish Status (Miss Wrestlemania)

Singles Match for the Intercontinental Championship
John "Bradshaw" Layfield (Champion) vs Rey Mysterio

This prediction will anger a few of you. Don't get me wrong, I like Rey. He is one of my favorites but I just don't think he will win.

Winner: JBL (Intercontinental Champion)

Extreme Rules Match
Jeff Hardy vs Matt Hardy

Whoever wins this one I think the end result will be the same. After the match there will be a tear filled reunion of the brothers. I have to name a winner so I will go with the brother that I think is more extreme.

Winner: Jeff Hardy

Handicap Elimination Match
Chris Jerico vs "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, and Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat w/Ric Flair

I will make the best prediction I can here since I don't know the order the legends will be competing in. I believe that Jerico will win his first two matches and will fall in the third. Or, he will beat all three and will challenge Ric Flair on the spot and will lose to him. Mickey Rourke will probably get involved and rumor has it maybe "Stone Cold" will as well. Either way, the result will be the same.

Winners: The Legends

Money in the Bank Ladder Match
CM Punk vs Kane vs Mark Henry vs MVP vs Shelton Benjamin vs Kofi Kingston vs Christian vs Finlay

I will pick a dark horse for this one. This will be his third Money in the Bank match and I think he is due.

Winner: Shelton Benjamin

Singles Match
The Undertaker (16-0) vs Shawn Michaels (Mr. Wrestlemania)

The undefeated streak goes on the line again. Honestly, I don't really know who to pick here. This match could go either way. I may be a little bias in my selection since The Undertaker is my favorite wrestler. Shawn was been getting the upper hand on The Deadman here lately. I like both of these guys, although Shawn is a bit overrated. I will just go with my favorite and see what happens.

Winner: The Undertaker (17-0)

Triple Threat Match for the World Heavyweight Championship
Edge (Champion) vs The Big Show vs John Cena

Sorry Cena fans, I don't think he will pull this one out. I look for the winner to be the one that hasn't held a championship for a while.

Winner: The Big Show (World Heavyweight Champion)

Singles Match for the WWE Championship
Triple H (Champion) vs Randy Orton

I know alot of you will disagree about this one. If (big if) The Big Show wins the World Heavyweight title, he is on Smackdown. Raw will need a champion. So, it's with much distain that I make this prediction.

Winner: Randy Orton (WWE Champion)

Don't take these seriously. I just do this for fun to see how close I get. I could be right, I probably won't be. If you have any predictions please leave a comment. There are a lot of good matches this Wrestlemania. Who will win? I don't really know, like I said this is just for fun. Everyone should have a little fun. I'm The Eyeball and That's What I See.

I'm Watching The Watchmen

Let me say first that I am a movie critic. "Why?" you ask? It's because I watch movies. Before I decide to go see a movie or rent a movie, I will see what the actual critics say about the movie. Then I will get opinions from people I know that have seen the movie. I will usually listen to their opinion more than the actual critics. I will then offer my opinion about the movie to others. So you see, I'm a movie critic and so are you. We just don't get paid. That being said, I will tell you what I thought about Watchmen.

I enjoyed Watchmen. I remained fairly true to the graphic novel. There were a few changes, most notably the ending, which I will not spoil here. The changes that were made worked with the story.

There were a few things, without giving too much away, that I didn't agree with. For one, the language was quite a bit rougher than it was in the graphic novel. And two, there was one scene that was borderline pornographic. I know there was nudity, sex, and a near rape in the graphic novel but the scene could have been toned down a little. Instead, it was toned up for the movie. Finally, if the writers of this movie wanted to change things they should have let Rorschach live. I knew it was coming but I still didn't like it......hurm.

Overall, I enjoyed Watchmen as I said before. It did keep my attention from beginning to end. But, I offer a special note to parents: Pay attention to the R rating. Do not think of this movie as o.k. for kids, just because it is a "superhero" movie. But, despite it's few flaws I would and will recommend Watchmen to all my readers and friends.
